Re: 1972 Hamilton car
this is the only adamson i have from 72. loved this color except the year when it was blue and they put the corn pickers on the sides. not sure if it's the one you're looking for.

As I recall Tom, that was a 'helper' bar just on the right rear. That was a short-lived fad that showed up on some cars. I could be wrong, I have been once before!

Re: 1972 Hamilton car
Okay guys I need some help from the 72 season. My records show 5 wins at Williams grove
& 10 at Selinsgrove as 9/24/72. ( Most wins at each track ) Is this correct. Where there any after 9/24/72 ?? Selinsgrove track champ - 2nd at the Grove.
I don't know if there were other tracks that it won on that year.
I have recently purchesed the 72 Frame. It is going to be completely restored.
It will be going to get sandblasted tomorrow so I can start making repairs. It was flipped at Learnerville it's last time out.
Looking for Parts, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1972 Hamilton car
at selinsgrove
the last sprint race was on Sept 9th.
Bobbie did have 10 wins on the season out of 20 features held including 6 in a row
winning dates were 4/29 5/13 5/20 5/27 6/3 6/10 6/17 7/8 8/5 8/27
was quite the year for the 72 champ as he had a total of 18 top 5's
10 -wins, 2 - 2nds, 3 - 3rds, 2 - 4ths, 1 - 5th
his other two finishes were a 6th, and after starting on the pole for the big '72 he finished outside the top 10.

There is a very active Western PA Racing History group on facebook. You might want to check with those guys to see if he picked up any wins out there.

WOW!! our heroes from our younger days WERE crazy. put that pic beside one of a bare 2013 frame. probably only half the tubing. glad racing didn't take any more from us than it did. thanks for the pic and looking forward to the "in progress" updates.

I know the cages were just bolt ons back then, was it changed at some time? Braces on the back hoop are different and triangle gussets from the back hoop to the tubes running front. Just looking at the pic posted above from 1972.
