RIP Smokey Snellbaker
Today is the National Open at the Grove, as everyone knows. Two years ago today, my racing hero died. So, please take a moment and remember the Open winner from 1979 and three time Grove champion, Smokey Snellbaker. He was a hall of famer and my friend. I miss the Silver Fox everyday.

I miss seeing him at the track all the time. It was always a pleasure to see him there.

Re: RIP Smokey Snellbaker
I still remember as a kid going up to him in the infield during the National Open and asking him to sign my Natty O T Shirt and he said "I'm the best **** driver that's listed on the back of that shirt young man". He signed right next to where I had Steve Kinser sign it too. Forever being Smokey
