and paying $75,000 to win next year and 50,000 for second and get the Natty back on top JMO

If some time and effort is put into it, I think this could be a chance to make this race as big as a Knoxville Nationals. An with the WoO TV contract....You have the opportunity to get a big sponsor and Pay the big $$$, then you will get more than 62 cars. I think the National Open deserves that attention. JMO

Pulling more than 62 cars, I'd think The Grove would have to move to a 3-day format like the Summer Nationals used to be run.
Would be awesome to see the prize payout happen!!

3 nights.
Night 1 - 8,000 to win
Night 2 - 8,000 to win
Night 3 - 100,000 to win
Pinky makes a huge profit on the first 2 nights. A large enough profit to make the 3rd night happen.

I don't think fans are ready to pay $50 to get in to see a race.

poolguy, they wouldn't have to pay $50 or anything near that if they would get off their butts and go find a major sponsor, with TV coming in for the
outlaws it shouldn't be a hard sell plus give people a discount if they buy tickets for a two or three show!!! JMO

Not sure she'll move the purse.
One, you don't need to, biggest crowd ever, biggest field since 06.
Two, the regular shows aren't nearly as profitable as they once where, so you need the Outlaw shows to make as much money as possible.
Three, Grove only had 4 Outlaw shows this year, one was a prelim show in May which doesn't draw as well, and the second was run under 70% chance of rain which may have held down the crowd a bit.

The National used to be 75 laps, and for some time the Grove would get sponsors for each lap. Different format too. Perhaps might be an idea to consider. That is when it was the last race of the season and before it became an Outlaw race.

you have to think, will the teams want to run a 75 lap feature? probably not fuel is too much and alot of wear on the motors and tire cost aswell. I would love to see the purse increase my self for mext year, other than that it is pefect, 50000 is still a nice chunk of change

$50,000 is more then enough to win but large car counts and big names is what puts butts in seats, so 50k to win with say $1,500 to start is a awesome pay out plus I like what port did with the non qualifiers race take the next 24 that dont make the A main and let them run a 25 lap race for a weekly purse after the big show. this in turn keeps people there longer and sells more food which is where a lot of the money is made. Also a corproate sponsor would not be a bad thing but I don't see them goign out and looking for one so one would have to coem to them and want to use the race to get their name out there on tv maybe a local business coudl pony up 10 or 20 k to make this happen.

bigbrad357 I agree, I like the idea of having a non qualifiers race for the guy's who had bad luck, or know it would be tough to make the show an opportunity to race like that. I think it would only keep these guy's coming to show's they might decide to sit out. I don't see anything wrong with a non qualifiers race for a little x-tra money for the guy's who at least supported the event. jmo

I do think a non qualifers race is a good idea. I also think the purse needs to be increased. The first night should be increased to $15,000 to win...$1000 to start...25 laps. Then run night two as $50,000 to win...$2000 to start...increase feature to 50 laps with halfway fuel stop. Pay $10,000 bonus if one driver sweeps both nights for a weekend payday of $75,000. I would also start 30 cars in each nights feature.
