Fine with the non-qualifiers race. But I can't stand scheduled fuel stops. With that in mind, I think 40 laps is the perfect distance. Also, with four provisionals you're already up to 28 cars each Outlaw race anyway. Anymore than that and I think safety starts to become compromised.ironboss wrote:I do think a non qualifers race is a good idea. I also think the purse needs to be increased. The first night should be increased to $15,000 to win...$1000 to start...25 laps. Then run night two as $50,000 to win...$2000 to start...increase feature to 50 laps with halfway fuel stop. Pay $10,000 bonus if one driver sweeps both nights for a weekend payday of $75,000. I would also start 30 cars in each nights feature.

You guys all keep saying "Up the purse" yet you are not the ones paying the bills of the track are you? Doesnt help anything that weve had somewhere around 10 or 15 rainouts this year.
I would like to see a higher purse too, but if you get a higher purse where does that money come from? An upped price in GA and Pit Passes, and I dont think anyone here wants to pay more than $35 to get in....

Re: 2014 Natty
Sure they do. The "diehards" would gladly pay more $ to see a race every week. They seem to forget though that the rest of us fans who have families can't afford it and would stay home. Have said it for yrs the "diehard" race fans are hurting this sport more then they are helping.

With everything going up except for wages, they had better leave things as is! Unless you live close, just getting to the track is a big expense. The attendance at weekly shows is way down. Like everyday life, racing is completely out of hand. Promoters, fabricators, engine builders, it's time to wake up before racing is just a thing of the past. Making money does have a down side. You get it from someone else's pocket. When the pockets your picking are empty your out of business also.
This is the place where brilliant minds assemble to willfully pool ignorance with questionable logic in order to reach absurd conclusions.

Re: 2014 Natty
Unless the rules are changed and everyone goes to a bigger fuel tank, there is no way around having a fuel stop. That is why I suggest a 50 lapper with a fuel stop at lap 25. As it is now, there is usually only 10-15 laps left after the fuel stop.
I think the purse does need to be increased if you want to be one of the crown jewel big events in the sport. Think about it, over 60 cars show up and over half the feature field on Friday night gets just $600. Really??!! Compare that purse to any of the major super late model shows across the country and it just does not stack up.
