They were brothers, who traded first names to allow the younger one to drive. Too confusing to go through. Jim won Indy in 1960.

A lot of people do not realize that Watson's shop was destroyed to make way for a highway project in 1959. The plans for his roadsters were drawn up on the shop floor and lost for all time. Floyd Trevis commissioned a draftsman to make drawings of the plans for his Trevis Craft Roadster. Floyd sent a copy of those plans to Watson so he could continue to build roadsters. Some including myself believe after 1959 the Watson Roadsters were copies of the Trevis Craft Roadster.
