A GREAT NIGHT FOR UNCLE SAM AS STEVE KINSER WINS COKE ZERO INTERNATIONAL
Steve Kinser might be in his late fifties, but you would never guess it watching him charge through the field in tonight’s 35 lap Coke Zero International at Valvoline Raceway before a big crowd tonight.

America’s 20 time World of Outlaws sprintcar champion was the night’s fastest qualifier, but drew a 10 car inversion for the main event which meant he had to give some talented drivers a start.

On a two lane track Max ‘Magic’ Johnston charged to the front with Roddy Bellbowen in hot pursuit and Kraig Kinser right on their tail pipes.

It wasn’t long before Kraig was joined by superman Steve and Valvoline’s Max Dumesny as they challenged each other for lap after lap.

Johnston was a star on the outside lane, but Kinser ran him down lap after lap before drawing inside him on the back straight to take the lead.

Once in front he open a break on the field, but late re-starts for accidents, brought the field closer together.

Kraig Kinser and Johnston faded in the closing circuits as Max Dumesny made up ground in company with fast closing Ben Atkinson.

Kinser though was in a class of his own and spectators gave him a raucous reception when he stepped from his Bad Boy Buggies machine.

“I love this place and the track was just perfect with two lanes which allowed you to run high or low,” said the King.

“I felt sorry for rubbing young Max Johnston, but I was serious about winning this race,” he declared when accepting the trophy from Gibson Freight ambassador Skip Jackson.

American late model driver Steve Casebolt drove like a man on rails all night to clean up the Coke Firecracker 20 lapper.

Casebolt and another US ace, Steve Francis, won the preliminaries then Casebolt took over the 20 lap main to charge through the field as if he was on rails.

There have been few as smooth and fast around a dirt oval than young Steve and he won the Coke Firecracker from Newcastle ace Nathan Disney and Tod Bayley.

Kinser and the internationals return to Valvoline Raceway on Wednesday night, January 1st when they will be joined by a spectacular Demolition Derby.

Kinser & Dumesny - A Race For The Ages

December 28, 2013 – Parramatta, NSW Australia – Valvoline Raceway–

Steve Kinser claimed his twenty-second feature race win at Valvoline Raceway last night, however he didn’t have it all his own way after a race long battle with Max Johnston and Max Dumesny. It was a battle that will long be remembered as the slick track provided plenty of passing opportunities and side by side battles.

Max Johnston used his front row starting spot to his advantage quickly establishing a lengthy lead. Kraig Kinser and Troy Little were battling for second with Steve Kinser and Max Dumesny asserting their authority early. Kraig Kinser took the lead briefly before Johnston was back in control.

After a number of restarts, Dumesny and Steve Kinser made their way to the front and the battle was on. In dense lapped traffic, the two drivers swapped positions and ran wheel-to-wheel. At the chequered flag it was "The King" Steve Kinser who took the win followed by Dumesny, Ben Atkinson, Darryl Campbell and Max Johnston.

The next event on the Sprintcar Association of NSW calendar is this coming Wednesday night, January 1.

Not bad starting 10th; NO FRONT ROW START, I say this because this year if he started up front he went backwards , this time started on 5 th row and won :cheers2:
