Path Valley 4/19

Ken Singer controlled the Street Stock field all night, first winning the heat race, and then leading all twenty laps to win the feature. Brad Karns showed improvement, staying no more than two car lengths behind Singer the entire race. The race did have a scary moment when Ryan Sager's car got two wheels up on the backstretch wall and then dislodged the top rail of the guard rail when he hit in turn three. Sager was okay and the crew able to sufficiently repair the rail to continue racing.

Justin Williamson took the same route as Ken Singer, winning the heat race and leading the feature from start-to-finish for his first win in the 4-Cylinder Thunder Cars. Jeremy Moore stayed close to Williamson until contact from Charles Stallman gave Moore a flat left rear tire on lap eight. Stallman went on to finish second, ahead of Brandon Seibert and Randy Stull. Moore limped home to finish fifth.

A racers first win is always special, something they usually don't forget. Dillon Wilson was able to create that moment on Saturday night, scoring his first career win in the Mini Stock feature. Wilson won the heat race and led all twenty laps with Chris Anderson close behind. Anderson was closing in as the two leaders entered the final turn, but just a few car lengths ahead of them Myachia Bookwalter lost control and did two barrel rolls before coming to a rest upside down. Bookwalter escaped without serious injury. Wilson pulled away from Anderson on the final lap.

How long can a track continue to operate with these type of car counts? Trail Way wasn't too much better this week either. Would be nice to see the counts pick up for tracks that provide great racing like Path Valley and Trail Way.

Thanks,
Jeff.

We have some guys in VA that want to run Path Valley but they all ask the same thing "Where is it?"

Neat little track that I hope can get better counts as the year goes
