Re: Port Royal June 14th
I have heard that a couple may drop the primary car off at Selinsgrove then head out to Port with the back up.pajamie wrote:they are running the 2nd makeup first.. the 25 lapper.. Guess its to try and get the Selinsgrove guys time to possibly make it to Selinsgrove..

Well they would definitely still miss the heat races at Selinsgrove but I guess they could tag the rear of the feature since they aren't likely have a full field. IDK what the rule is now but they used to allow that. I remember Scotty doing that once a few years ago when port got rained out.

Well unlike Selinsgrove, Port always starts on time at least. We have an on-going joke @SG that you can show up an hour late and not miss anything.Pitside wrote:Yeah the way port farts around they will never make the heatshotrodney wrote:Well they would definitely still miss the heat races at Selinsgrove but I guess they could tag the rear of the feature since they aren't likely have a full field. Re: Port Royal June 14th
The official order of events are as follows, with a 7:00pm start time.
1. Continuation of the May 24th Sprint race with 9 laps complete, 16 to go, $5000 to win.
2. Late Model A-Main from May 24th (25-laps, $2000 to win)
3. 305 Sprint A-Main from May 24th (25-laps)
4. 410 A-Main from May 3rd
5. Late Model A-Main from May 3rd
6. 305 Sprint A-Main from May 3rd
7. xTreme Stock A-Main
There was a mention, albeit a brief and unofficial talk, about running the Late Model A-Main right off the bat at 7:00pm which "might" give time for the (3) Selinsgrove cars in the field to get to Selinsgrove in time for their heat races. But this is the weekly order of events for Features and that is why the order is the same. Selinsgrove starts at 7:30pm with sprint car time trials. It is certainly up to the drivers where they go. Mattern is on the pole and Zona starts 5th so they do have good starting spots.
As far as Greg Hodnett and Brent Marks, I don't know what they will decide. Not sure what Lincoln is paying to win their All Star Race, but Hodnett is scheduled to restart 8th and Marks 10th in the continuation feature for $5000 to win. Lance 15th. I know there are only 16 laps remaining but do they have a better shot at winning from their restart positions at Port or a better chance of winning the All Star Race at Lincoln not knowing where they would time or start in the main event with a stronger field of drivers especially with the All Stars there. Greg is still the point leader at Port with a 100 point advantage over Mike Wagner.

Re: Port Royal June 14th
Was planning on running the super at Port on Saturday but the fields are set. Does anyone know if they will allow cars to be added to the back of the feature with only 21 cars?

Re: Port Royal June 14th
Unfortunately, no. It was discussed but wouldn't have been fair to the teams that were there and qualified back on May 3rd in both the sprint and late models.

Uhhhh...Heffner posted on Tuesday that they will be at Lincoln. So we can stop with that rumor.
