Leroy Felty-a living legend!

82 yr. old Lee Roy Felty took the car he last drove in competition before retiring for a spin at Port Royal Speedway 6-9-12.

His interview on the stage was typical Leroy also! He is a legend around these parts...and one of the last.

These guys had some opinions about the racers of their era. Most of these opinions are now long gone. They had no problem calling drivers out during victory lane interviews. Felty was probably the best.

When Zortman interviewed Bobby Hersh years ago....I told him to throw drivers names at him for reactions.....I would have loved to have heard the "off the record" comments. I know there were some.

I too thought Leroy was on the throttle last night.

Wow, I didn't know the Jim Campbell 31 had been around that long.

A couple photos with Leroy in victory lane with the "Velvet Jet" would have been a nice touch.

Leroy never was one to back down, or back off for that matter! Even at 82 , still going strong. :yessss:
