Hair chevy #33
I shot this at s-grove. I think the driver was Gene Kohr. Looks like a CAE chassis. The red car in the background is Paul Ober

1080, I think your right, Donnie Kreitz did drive this racer. I believe Kenny Brightbill drove it some also. As for Paul Ober, when he started to run Lincoln, he was one of the smoothest drivers I think I ever saw. With his little bug, and small block with a carb, it was amazing what he could do with that racecar. We often wondered what he would do if he had decent equipment?

Re: Hair chevy #33
Lets see if I get it right. Kreitz sr drove car with 93 on it. He also ran a carb on it,as they paid carb money. I think it was a $100. If you won.
Paul Ober worked as a welder at a plant in Middletown that made Trailers. He made a lot of his own parts, with some help from the workers at the plant. A lot of the other teams gave him their old tires. He did a lot with not having much

In 1966 Don Kreitz drove the 93. In 1967 he was in the 71. Looking at photos of the two cars they may be one and the same. The 66 car did not have the wing. Steve

I remember being at the Grove, they said Don came from racing mod's. To run at the Grove. The car looked the same as the 33,same color. I saw Don win a race and get the carb money. It was a CAE car.Looks like the car with a # change.

At the risk of hi-jacking, to expand on Paul Ober a bit, in the late '70s, Paul had a ride for Selinsgrove in a pretty decent sprinter. IIRC, the #32 was from Ohio or western Pa. I can't recall the owners name. Paul had some good runs in the car, just needed some luck. Some nights they were real fast. I'm not sure if the deal lasted a year, I think they stayed together only a few months. While Paul was driving the #32, his son Steve ran the family car.

Thanks Ron. I think he had some top 5 runs in the car. At s-grove.
