Williams Grove Speedway

Since its beginning in 1939, Williams Grove Speedway has been one of the top weekly sprint car tracks in the country. The speedway is a 1/2 mile banked smooth clay oval with speeds reaching in excess of 100 mph. The 2024 racing season runs from March to October. Our largest show, the World of Outlaws National Open will pay $75,000 to the winner plus over $190,000 in total prize money. Season admission prices range from $20 to $50 for adults with discounted youth (Ages 13-20) priced from $10-$20 and Kids 12 and under are always FREE. Special sanctioned events include races for the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, ULMS Late Models, United States Auto Club, United Racing Club and the PA Sprint Series. Other racing divisions appearing throughout the season include 358 sprint cars, 360 sprint cars, super late models and super sportsman. We strive to be a family oriented facility by hosting Fan Appreciation Nights, Kids Night, fireworks shows and by supporting many local and national charities.

Williams Grove Hosts Another Yellow Breeches For 410 Sprints Friday
358 sprints compete in first handicapped event of season
Mechanicsburg – Another Yellow Breeches 500 race for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway is in the offing, slated for Friday night, May 17 at 7:30 pm.

The HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprints will join the 410 sprints on the mid-May racing card.

The Yellow Breeches race for the 410 sprint cars will pay $5,000 to win out of a total purse worth $21,000.

However, the race will also pay $500 just to start, or to finish 24th in the 25-lap main event.

Timed practice laps will be used to set the heat starting lineups.

The show for the 358 sprints will be the first handicapped event of the year for the division, ending with a 20-lap feature.

Standing Water, Unusable Facility Cancel Saturday at Williams Grove
Mechanicsburg – With heavy rain Thursday night and through the entire day Friday leaving several areas of standing water and unusable track conditions at Williams Grove Speedway and more rain projected in the evening on Saturday, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car and track officials have agreed to cancel night two of the HVAC Distributors Morgan Cup presented by Daikin slated for Saturday.

Officials worked diligently throughout Saturday morning to prepare the facility, but cold, cloudy conditions prevented the track from drying into usable condition. The decision to cancel comes with the safety of competitors in mind.

Rain Cancels Round One Of Williams Grove Morgan Cup Friday
Mechanicsburg – Persistent rains and saturated grounds have caused Williams Grove Speedway and World of Outlaws officials to cancel the May 10 Morgan Cup racing program at the oval.

The focus now turns to Saturday when the one-day HVAC Distributors Morgan Cup will take place.

Action is slated to get underway at 7:30 pm.

Saturday’s 25-lap Morgan Cup main will pay $15,000 to win plus another $5,000 to be crowned Morgan Cup champion for a total of $20K.

Logan Schuchart is the defending Morgan Cup champion.

Outlaws driver David Gravel is the hottest driver on the outlaws tour currently, having taken three of the last four races contested while atop the point standings.

Dewease Wins First For Shearer, 115th For Himself At Williams Grove
Doug Hammaker wires for 358 sprints win

Mechanicsburg – Lance Dewease scored the first career 410 sprint car win for car owner Barry Shearer at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, taking $6,000 for the 115th career victory of his own driving career at the oval in Lawrence Chevrolet sprint car action.

Dewease’s win came in the Hoosier Diamond Series World of Outlaws tune-up event as the track and competitors prep for the upcoming May 10 and 11 two-day outlaws stand at Williams Grove.

In the HJ Towing and Recovery 358 sprint main, it was Doug Hammaker leading flag to flag to pick up the win.
