SATURDAY NIGHT SERIES CONTINUES APRIL 12
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series will continue at
Williams Grove Speedway on April 12 with super sportsman cars as the
featured attraction.
Limited late models, 4-cylinder stock cars and street stocks will
also be on the card.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 7:00.
Thirty-four super sportsman cars were in competition for the
Saturday Night Series opener on March 29, and a new contender for the
Sutliff Sportsman Tour championship has already emerged.
Paul Miller drove the Danny Miller 55 to a wire-to-wire victory.
It was the third consecutive victory for the 55 team dating back to
last season when Danny Hager won the last two sportsman features of 2007
at Williams Grove.
Carlisle's Frankie Herr proved that he will be a strong contender
to repeat as tour champion with an impressive second place finish in the
opener.
In the limited late model division Tyler Armstrong continued the
winning ways he established a year ago by dominating the opening night
feature.
Armstrong led all drivers with four limited late model victories
in 2007, but 17-year old Tyler Hershey won the division championship.
Hershey has some catching up to do following a 22nd-place finish in the
opener.
The street stocks were not part of the season opener, but they will
be back on April 12 led by two-time defending champion Kory Sites.
The Saturday Night Series will have one other date at Williams
Grove Speedway this month with that event scheduled for April 26.
