Allenberry Resort - Legend has it that it was the uncle of American Folk hero Davey Crockett who first settled along the Yellow Breeches Creek where Allenberry Resort sits today. By 1778, according to county tax rolls, James Crockett owned the then two-farm tract just outside the quaint country town of Boiling Springs. Soon after, he and his family raised a barn and house that, more than 200 years later, are still in use at Central PA’s premiere rustic boutique resort.
