Night One Of Williams Grove WoO Morgan Cup Lost To Rain

Mechanicsburg Night one of the World of Outlaws H & N Landscaping Morgan Cup for sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway was rained out on Friday night but only after hours of attempting to get the show completed.

A total of 41 World of Outlaws sprint cars were signed in for action.

A pair of late afternoon showers forced track personnel to spend several hours working on the speedway surface in an effort to prepare it for action that did eventually get underway just before 9 pm.

Hanover Jacob Allen posted the fastest time in practice after several sessions of hot laps, turning in a lap of 16.593 seconds.

However before time trials could begin, persistent light rain hit the speedway just before 10 pm, forcing the cancellation of the balance of the show.

Night two of the H & N Landscaping Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway is slated for Saturday, May 14 with action getting underway at 7:30 pm.

The Morgan Cup winner will net a total of $17,000 for the 30-lap feature event.
